Introducing hand-finished prints for the first time ever in a release Katrin Fridriks and Avant Arte are joining forces again for their fourth collaboration in their third year. After the success of the previous limited-edition print releases and continuing what by now is an artistic established tradition, Fridriks dazzles the viewer once again with an extraordinary new series of exquisite prints.
Pursuing her life long quest of spiritual awareness and cosmic inspiration and faithful to her signature style and the printing techniques of their earlier collaborations, this year’s editions are naturally also about the other trademarks of the renowned Icelandic artist’s production: novelty and innovation. Featuring the iconic embossed elements, high gloss screens and printed varnish of the previous series. These exclusive works of art will furthermore come in a smaller size and fewer in numbers – totaling a selected few of 33 and 44 in 3 editions.
Renewing also their partnership with Coriander Studio means that the distinctive excellence of the paper, thickness of the paint and the fine texture effects remain unvaried: using a variety of cutting edge print and post-print techniques and by carefully selecting certain areas through the embossing technique, as well as applying partial glossy varnish, the finished works enhance the volume effect and the brightness of the colors, thus creating the most exquisite fine art product.
